Does dying your hair hurt your hair?
I've loved dying my hair over the years, but I'm focused on hair growth now. Don't want to be doing anything that could negatively impact hair growth.
So should I pause on dying my hair in the short - medium term to ensure I can get my hair longer and healthier first?
Much love xoxo

Hey Stacy,
I am not a hair stylist, but this is what I've learned in my experience:
1. Dying your hair can change it, especially if you go lighter. You can go from low porosity to medium porosity to high porosity.
2. To cause the least amount of damage when going lighter, go gradual.
3. Best to see a professional, but get references! I just stitched someone who suffered severe overprocessing because the stylist didnt' know what the heck they were doing. I will link the video below.
4. Bond builders are your friend. That's your Olaplex & K18s of the world.
5. If you do color your hair, then you might need to switch up your haircare routine because your porosity and hair could change.
